multi-tasking

Ok- so I am a teacher who tells her students and parents to have a nice, quiet place to do homework .... this is Kennedy doing her homework tonight..... yes that is a phone- she was calling Grandma Jo to tell her about her 2 teeth she lost... what you can't see or hear in the pictures is the tv was on Sprout! I know horrible beginning to homework time!

It happened again!!!!

I knew that second tooth wouldn't take long! Kennedy was eating some chicken wings for dinner tonight and out came her tooth! Her are some new pictures!

It has happened!!

Well ladies and gentleman- one of the loose teeth has taken the plunge! When we were brushing teeth tonight the tooth was sticking straight out of her mouth- so I got a tissue and tried to pull it out. Then Kennedy wanted to try. It really started to bleed and kinda freaked me out- she had basically pulled it out and it was sitting there- so I pulled it the rest of the way. She rinsed her mouth and ate some ice and all is well with the world. She tried to pull the other one too but decided it wasn't ready! When I asked her what the tooth fairy was going to bring she said m-n-m's. Thank goodness daddy was still at the store! Her are some pictures and video!

Rain Day - No School in September

SO- it has rained here off and on for a week. Sunday night and all day Monday the rain did not stop- at all. So of course flooding became a major issue. Interstates and roads were shut down and washed out so school was canceled on September 22, 2009. This is the first 'rain day' that I know of! Of course the sun was out all day - which of course is great news for all the people that have been affected by the floods. We only had minimal water by the door in our basement and some erosion under our driveway were we didn't fill in an area when our driveway was replaced this summer.
So here are some pictures from our day off yesterday. Kennedy started running a fever Monday night so I would have had to stay home anyway. We are home again today (Wednesday) because of her fever yesterday! I think we are on the mend today though! Enjoy the pics from yesterday.

We painted some animals Kendrick got from the three J's for his birthday.

This is what the playroom looked like after an hour or two!This is the after shot! We cleaned and the made some pictures!Then beccause the sun was out and we haven't seen it in a week I let them go outside for a few minutes. Kennedy's temp was down to 99.9 and I figured some vitamin D would be good for her!This is the eroision under our driveway.I sent jr to football with daddy so he could get out of the house for awhile. When they got home they had some gravel in the back of the truck and filled the hole up some.

Hair and teeth update

This week Kennedy will wear her hair down again but curly. Well we will see if it lasts a week! Her 2 bottom teeth are VERY wiggly now! It is to the point that she doesn't like to bite into food and had to gently brush her teeth. I tried to take a picture of them sticking straight out but it was hard to do!

Can't really tell in this picture but it grosses daddy and I out! Not to mention her adult tooth is starting to bust out of the back of her gum because the baby tooth is still there! Nice start to this journey!

Rain, rain go away!

This has been one rainy week and weekend! There have really only been an hour or two a day where it isn't raining! Then it is so wet outside you are limited to what you can do. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Of course we watched the ND game. Then jr and daddy played football on playstation!

The kids had some neighbors over to play Saturday afternoon.We also went to the indoor pool at our gym on Sunday but I forgot the camera!

cousin's new house

My cousin Jane, her husband Jeremy and son Jasper just moved into their new house! Well we made a journey over and thankfully it passed the kids inspection... that is once we made it into the house! You see my kids aren't used to dogs so when we got there Vidalia, the 3J's dog, came running to the door to say hello- well my kids screamed and ran behind me- only problem is there is a stoop and Jr scooted right off the edge and landed between the house and holly bush! Thankfully he only has a scratch but I really wish I had it on video! I did get some pictures of the cousins playing together on the playscape out back. Aunt Natalie and cousin Graham came over too! Can't wait for more back yard fun!!!

I Pledge Allegiance

Here is a video of Kendrick Jr saying the Pledge of Allegiance. He is in the 3 year old class at his new school! Love it!

2 loose teeth!!!

Kennedy is so excited!Her two bottom front teeth are loose! One of her grown up teeth is trying to bust out of the back of her gum so the dentist put her on mission to get those two teeth out in 4 weeks or we go back for some help! She has done a great job wiggling them and the are looser by the day! Will update on this one again once we have a holey mouth!

Poppy Party

So Kendrick Jr could have cared less about going potty - but we have had success and he is 100% big boy! We do send our poppy to the poppy party, that m-n-ms and dollar store toys made it all possible! One of the toys was dinosaur eggs that you "dig" the dinosaur out of. Not sure we will do these again!

School projects

SO -both kids had projects the first week of school to make a poster of themselves. Kennedy's just had to be a cut out of herself and Kendrick's had to be a poster full of pictures about him and his family. We had a lot of fun making the posters!

Kindergarten

Kennedy is in Kindergarten now and loves it! She goes to school with me and so far it has worked just fine. The school I work at is also our neighborhood school so all the friends are the same.

New hair do

Much to mommy's happiness we have someone that does Kennedy's hair most of the time since I can't braid. Well- we went today and decided to try it down and blown straight! She looks so grown up and I don't think daddy is too happy about it! LOL

4th of July

We were still in Florida for the 4th so we celebrated by going to the parade on Sanibel that morning. That night we were on the causeway with a picnic and a party with my mom's neighborhood friends. Oh- the mosquitoes joined us too!

Kendrick Jr's Third Birthday Party

Well- it was a family party at least. We were in Florida so it was daddy, mommy, sister, Grammie and Poppa. But we went to Chuck-E-Cheese so it would feel like a party!

Kennedy's 5th Birthday

For her birthday party she wanted a rock climbing/ swimming party at our gym. We had 22 4 and 5 year old's there! The 4 year old's had to wait for the swimming part because you have to be 5 to rock climb. She had a great time and mommy and daddy didn't have to do a thing!

The cake was a swimming pool cake!These are all the gifts from her friends. Needless to say all she got from mommy and daddy was the party!
