May 2011

So.....May will be one big blog too. Sorry! I am making it my mid-year resolution to stay up to date from now on! Ok-in May we had our annual trip to Charleston for my cousins memorial golf tournament to raise money for the scholarship in his name at the Citadel. Kennedy bridged from a Daisy to a Brownie and the kids wrapped up their school year. They had field day and the pre-k teachers did a great job with a graduation ceremony. Here are some pictures from the month of May.
Starfish were everywhere on the beach.

Reflections Contest

The PTA has a reflections contest every year with different themes and the kids can do a story, picture, dance or song to go with the theme. There is a school competition and then they move on to state. Kennedy's teacher had them all enter. Kennedy did a picture and a story. She didn't win the school competition but she had fun and enjoyed reward night. Here are some pictures of her getting her certificates.

Her art work- together we can build a house.

Halloween 2010

You know what time it is when Darth Vader and a Delta Force invade your home...... Halloween. The kids had a great time again this year. We also had a little get together with our new neighbors across the street.

100 Day Project

The kindergarten students always do a project for the 100th day of school. Instead of just doing a poster with 100 things glued to it she decided she wanted to make a house "that is the shape of a cube".

Playdate at the nail salon!

I took Kennedy and her friend Cynthia to the nail salon with me the other day for a winter break playdate! They have been friends since they were three and are so cute together. Next playdate we are just going to hang out at our house and play with some toys!

Kennedy's weekend of school projects

The first weekend in November Kennedy had 3 different projects to do for school. She did her leaf book with mommy, disguised her Turkey with daddy and had to fill in her all about me poster because she was student of the week. I was so proud of her. I asked her one time if she wanted to take a break and she said- no I want to get them done before I go play then I don't have to worry about them! Let's hope that attitude sticks! Here are some pictures of all her finished projects.
Kennedy and I walked around our school and found all the leaves we needed to complete the book on Friday.

This is Kennedy with her all About Me Poster that she did on Sunday. She was student of the week so she had to fill this in and bring in 5 pictures from home.

On Saturday Kennedy and Daddy disguised her Turkey as a Notre Dame football player. You aren't surprised are you?

She was so proud of herself- and so was I!
