Hunter's Christmas Tree Farm

This year we decided to do something different besides get our tree from the Home Depot parking lot! We ended up going to Hunter's Family Christmas Tree Farm and loved it! The kids got there picture taken with Santa, (who was fabulous and loved the kids) took a hayride around the tree farm, went on pony rides, made a tree ring ornament, plus we picked and cut down our own tree! We love it and can't wait to decorate the house and tree tomorrow.

Off to find the perfect tree!

We found it!

The kids loved this tractor. There is a light up reindeer in front of it!

Making an ornament from a tree ring. Good times and great fragrance.

Kendrick on the pony ride!

Kendrick loved the tractor and Santa needed to catch up with Daddy!

Kennedy on the pony ride!

Can you say Christmas card is done! Love it!

The hay ride- always a hit!

Thank you Hunter Family Farm for a great day! See you next year!

Thanksgiving 2009

For Thanksgiving this year we did absolutely nothing! We stayed home and it was just the 4 of us! On Wednesday we went down to the Pink Pig and then had dinner with my parents before they left. Thursday we were just at the house. Daddy cooked and the kids played- not sure what I did! Friday we sat around the house in our pj's the entire day. The kids put clothes on around 4 to go outside and play for awhile! Saturday we went to the tree farm (that will be the next blog) and played outside. Sunday we will go to church, decorate our house and tree and get ready to go back to real life. I will blog our decorations tomorrow. Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving.

The Pink Pig

Ok- so we did it! We took the kids to the Pink Pig Wednesday. To be honest- we don't get it! I know people out there love it- my kids seemed to like it - but let's be real- they could make that ride a little more exciting! The tent is half empty for crying out loud! Sorry- I know there are some real lovers out there. Here are some pictures from our day- we did love being with our family and didn't let the kids know how we felt don't worry.

This is the old car that was part of the monorail way back when.

Daisy Scout outing

Autrey Mill Nature Center hosts a scouting day in November. Scouts can go and complete different stations to earn badges. So Kennedy's Daisy Scout troop went and the girls earned 3 different petals for their tunics.

Brownies

My mom and Bernie have been in town this past week and when they are here they come over just about every other night to eat with us and see the kids. One night while they were here they made brownies for desert.

Graham is TWO!

My cousin's son turned 2 earlier this month! I cannot believe Graham is already 2. We love you sweet boy and are so glad you are here with us!

The theme was things that go! The weather was great and all of the kids played so nicely!

Look Jasper - fire!

Swinging with Kennedy's bear from school. She has the bear for the weekend and then we had to write what the bear did with us!

Jumping with cousin Jasper. Jr is just giving him a hug!

Yummy, yum, yum!

Kennedy's weekend of school projects

The first weekend in November Kennedy had 3 different projects to do for school. She did her leaf book with mommy, disguised her Turkey with daddy and had to fill in her all about me poster because she was student of the week. I was so proud of her. I asked her one time if she wanted to take a break and she said- no I want to get them done before I go play then I don't have to worry about them! Let's hope that attitude sticks! Here are some pictures of all her finished projects.
Kennedy and I walked around our school and found all the leaves we needed to complete the book on Friday.

This is Kennedy with her all About Me Poster that she did on Sunday. She was student of the week so she had to fill this in and bring in 5 pictures from home.

On Saturday Kennedy and Daddy disguised her Turkey as a Notre Dame football player. You aren't surprised are you?

She was so proud of herself- and so was I!
